Green Protein Power Bars!

Needing more protein? On my quest to gain 10 pounds this summer, I started nibbling on big protein bars. Ultimately, these snacks failed to deliver because 1) they didn’t taste “alive” 2) they had a TON of ingredients 3) they were expensive. I like things chewy, and so these bars are chewy and can last in the freezer for up to three months. I tke one out in the AM, and place in my NEW SNACK TAXI and eat it mid-morning or mid-afternoon for a charge. It takes like a green cookie, and I LOVE smearing it with Naturally More PB!

Ingredients

1 Cup Green Protein Powder
.5 Cup whole wheat flour
1.75 Cup ROLLED oats
1.5 Cup Oatbran
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
.25 Cup dry cranberries
.25 Cup slivered almonds
.25 Cup chipss
.5 tsp sea salt
MIX THESE DRY INGREDIENTS
.25 Cup Almond Butter
1.5 Cup PLAIN yogurt
2 tsp almond/vanilaa yogurt
.5 Cup Agave/Brown Rice/Maple Syrup
MIX THESE WET INGREDIENTS
Combine two together into a “dough” and spread into a sprayed 9 X 13 pan.
In a 350 degree oven, bake for 25 minutes. Check the consistency, they should be getting hard. Then turn off oven and bake for another 15.
I drizzled with chocolate and then frooze them immediately. If you like them crunchy, after first baking, take them off, cut into logs and place the individual bars in the oven and don’t turn it. Check every 15 minutes.
