Ah….food that begin with P…Plums, Pesto, Pears, Popcorn, Pepitas, PEANUT BUTTER! The delicious choices tempt any potluck creator. For this potluck, I requested that guests bring a dish that features a “P” and a Poem: Poem and P Party.
Last week, I whipped up some “hummus” using a can
of marinated bean salad from TJs(chickpeas, red kidneys, white beans, with spices) a tablespoon of seasame seed, a clove of garlic…and then a tablespoon of olive oil. Using won ton wrappers, I filled them up with the mixture and baked them for 30 minutes at 425, adding a white egg wash with a little butter after 15 minutes. They turned out crispy, lovely! Served up with Sirachi Jam.
